President wants APC process expedited

President Mahinda Rajapaksa had urged the representatives of political parties to expedite the process to come up with a final solution to resolve the ethnic problem through the All Party Representative Committee, Constitutional Affaires and National Integration Minister D.E.W.Gunasekara said.

It should not be taken as a resurgence of political thinking, but a late reply to the question raised by Al Jazeera, “what political solutions you have offered to the Tamils while taking the military solution on”? But the IPKF general Mr. Metha has already cleared this point when he said, “we have been listening to this for the past thirty years”, so the president’s answers will not work and it's good only for local consumption.

If GOSL have no idea on how to design/ implement a political solution,It can give this valuable task to UN/SG to do a great service for common people who are suffering and paying a heavy price for the last 60 years!Ferderal solution with full autonomy based on Banda-Chelva pact and Indo-Lanka pact! We are sick and tired of all these shrewed/cruel tactics which prolong the huge suffering of common people! Prof.Tissa Vidarana shd be ashamed of himself and resign NOW! GOSL shd realise the grave mistakes of the past and change the mentality/methods NOW!This is the request of all justice/peace loving lankans throughout the world!

This is the only solution. The sooner the current leaders realize that, the better for the country. Put this carnage behind, have a federal solution, learn to trust each other and develop the country for the betterment of all communities.

There is no Political solution in the mind of the present governmnet and their supporters. There never was any intention to bring about a political solution and ther never will be. The talk of a political solution is a joke trotted out when mother India or some other western entity starts breathing down the government's neck. The question one wonders about is how many times can the same joke be played before it gets stale. Or are those demands made for a political solution from the government equeally disingenous and only meant to pacify the interests of the Tamil diaspora who are clamouring for such a solution. If this is the case and I think the Tamil diaspora is been taken for a ride twice over. The world is a very cynical place indeed.

After defeat LTTE, no need to have any political or any other solution. Majority of sinhala and tamil people can live with harmony like in early days ( Before English men came). English rulers, Some of tamil and sinhala polticians and LTTE have made this crisis our beautiful country.

President wants APC process expedited Your Excellency has not spoken your view. It may be the TVMP leaders demand which your excellency announced on this issue. Good lick. But you have no other alternative now as the TVMP is in the Central government and very soon will be in the Cabinet and may be even the future Prime Minister Of Sri Lanka.
