Eelam through devolution

The arrogance of the self appointed International Community (SAIC) that ganged up against us because we refused to hold a ceasefire for them to rescue the entire leadership of the now defunct LTTE under laughable pretexts was very hurt when the LTTE was eliminated by our troops. General Sarath Fonseka outwitted the combined strategies of the entire NATO that wanted to save the world's most ruthless terrorist outfit. This is the most ignominious defeat of mighty nations combined at the hands of a tiny intelligent nation.

Smarting under the fact that we eliminated the LTTE against their wishes they brought in a resolution at the UNHRC falsely accusing us of crimes against human rights violations but we got that resolution thrown out lock stock and barrel. This is the second ignominious defeat at the hands of a tiny intelligent nation.

Taking the 47 member nations of the UNHRC as a statistical sample of the UN, according to figures worked out by the Island editorial we received 4 billion votes representing the countries that voted for us as against 0.5 billion of the small coterie that opposed us. This represents not a 2/3 majority which is 67% but an unheard of majority of 78%. Judging by the most weird events that have taken place it is not possible to rule out the possibility that the idea of taking hostages may have come from the SAIC when they found that they with their entire NATO strategies could not outwit the armed forces of our small nation.

I now reproduce a paragraph that appeared in the Asian Tribune. Here it is:

State Department Press spokesman Ian Kelly confessed today that he did not know how the US voted on the Sri Lanka resolution at the Human Rights Council session which considered the subject on May 27. A diplomatic source commented: "Master Kelly can wait for a 100 years, if that is possible, but he will never know how the US voted. The US is not a member of the Council, ergo, not entitled to vote."

If this report is true then it means that they are confused and have lost confidence in themselves. Hillary Clinton who dashed out to put in its proper place every nation that is an irritation to her wound up finding herself put in her proper place among the nations of west Asia. She has wisely given up on North Korea and it is now being taken up by others with tough talk like 'we will not stand idly by' instead of neutralizing the situation. The world order has changed and it will never be what it was.

Today Navi Pillai the chief of the UNHRC is boiling with anger and hate against Sri Lanka as was seen on television. Poor woman! I say poor woman because she could stew herself in hate in her own juice as there is absolutely nothing she could do against us. On the other hand we could take her case up at the UNHRC itself now that we know we have friends.

SAIC has not given up and will not give up, Hillary Clinton or anybody else could block the 1.9 billion IMF loan. If it is blocked we will get it from elsewhere. This is big money for us but for the rich nations it is nothing. For example the estimated cost of the suspension bridge across the Straight of Messina in Italy is 6.1 billion Euros which is 8.5 billion US dollars.

Fortunately our land is the most blessed land on the surface of this planet. We will never have to starve as long as we keep the UNP out of office. We are now on the way to making ourselves agriculturally self sufficient. This can be achieved if proper talent is employed to work directly for the minister bypassing those who will block a good workable plan out of sheer jealousy.

Knowing that the SAIC have absolutely and totally failed to establish Eelam they are now resorting to division of our country through imposed devolution.

Apart from the SAIC countries there are all kinds of Indian politicians giving us orders from India. According to the Asian Tribune the most recent case is the new Indian Foreign Minister S. M. Krishna who urged us to address the "root cause of the conflict" by effective devolution of powers to all communities in the Island nation. I say to Mr. Krishna "Who are you to tell us, a sovereign nation how to run our country? You just mind your own business or wind up like that woman Navi Pillai. The choice is yours.

To India we say that not only will there be no devolution of any sort because it is the necessary and sufficient step to separation but also the Indo Lanka Accord forced on us by India will be annulled and thrown out so that we could cleanse this land of the last vestige of Indian hegemony. You created the LTTE with the intention of annexing our land. We liquidated what you created. You can annex the moon much easier than that. We thank India for not voting against us at the UNHRC. We attribute it to the wisdom of that very harmless and soft spoken intellectual Dr.Manmohan Singh. There are many in India who would have loved to vote against us but if that happened, India would have found it very uncomfortable to live anywhere in Asia in particular at her present location with her neighbours. She will then have to move the entire Indian sub continent to a location near America where she would be under the protection of American hegemony. That probably is why Japan decided to abstain though she was originally for voting against Sri Lanka
