Shan,

Today, my dear friend Bill Clinton turns 63.

At a recent dinner he hosted for my 91st birthday, he said: "As I grow older, I grow more urgently interested in what deed I might do today, in case I don't have tomorrow."

We have a similar approach to retirement from public office. We will not rest as long as people across our planet are affected by disease, economic inequality, and social injustice.

The Clinton Foundation is making incredible progress in tackling these urgent challenges - thanks in no small part to supporters like you.

In wishing President Clinton a happy birthday, I am requesting friends to reach out to his Foundation by supporting it with a donation of your choice.

President Clinton has a bold vision for solving the problems we face today and he also has inspired global movement to get the job done. Your contribution will add to that movement in making the world a better place.

We thank you for being part of this inspiring movement and ensuring that President Clinton's work is supported by your contribution.

With many thanks,

N R Mandela
